Woo, go Stephanie! Our weekly trivia team would be nothing without her pop culture knowledge and I love picking her brain over the successes she's generating with her Track teams. She's seriously doing well to out-recruit some regional schools, especially in light of some of the material advantages they hold.

I don't understand the points system here... we are tied with MTSU in points for the same event (women's cross country) which we won. how then are there at least 7-10 schools with the same 32nd place finish in that event? including 1 from our same conference? It has no effect on what I think of RV but it is weird. RV should change the way he does things or keep it moving. At least they were able to get Petersen out so that was a pleasant surprise.

This organization is basically a club for athletic directors to join in on and serve as a network for job openings. . My guess is the director's cup is a made-up award they fabricated to simply make membership interesting. Nothing more. We're probably one of a few of any fanbase that even knows this exist. It means absolutely nothing to you and I.

BTW, membership is $390 a person and $1750 for a group of 15.

They do have Usatoday as a founding partner and have been around since 93. So it is a little more than a made up award but more like the various position trophies in football in that outside of one or two only a few fans actually care.

USA Today has a sponsorship program for several organizations. Means nothing in regards to importance of this award to anyone outside the membership. http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/educate/training/partners.htm

I can't find anyone of the countless alumni I work with from other Texas universities who have ever heard of it and I've never seen it mentioned anywhere else but here.
