I agree, but I thought at UNT this was referred to as "whorin'?"

No, because we play many of these teams at neutral sites in tournaments or, GASP!, even IN DENTON.

Plus, the 2 sports really don't compare.

But you knew all this before the snark.

BTW, I'm hoping we drop the idea of starting baseball because we wouldn't fund it accurately and there's three other, well established programs within 30 miles of campus already that we would have to compete against for recruits, including the current #1 ranked team in the land.

We need baseball and just like football there is plenty of kids in Texas that we can recruit to come play at UNT. I know for certain just in Round Rock Tx there's plenty of talent to choose from to come play baseball up north.

I disagree. With the right coach and the excess of talent from this area we could be competitive pretty quickly and we play in a really good baseball conference.

Soccer, Hockey, Baseball....one day.

Why not rugby? Our club is still insanely good, right?

NCAA does not sponsor rugby. That does not necessarily mean it isn't popular. Some of the top programs even offer scholarships. We are good, but not a national power. Unless something changed recently, we play in the second tier of college rugby.

Hockey would be awesome but is never going to happen due to cost. Soccer on the other hand would be very successful if given appropriate resources.

I'm sorry. I thought we beat Baylor in Waco. My bad. Where did we play them?

I thought I'd say it again in the hopes that you actually see what you don't want to see.

Yes, the softball team beat Baylor in Waco at the Baylor Tournament.

Baylor plays in Denton in about a month.

Last season, North Texas played a game at Baylor towards the end of the season.

In 2013 - a doubleheader in Denton.

In 2012 - North Texas played at the Baylor tournament, and then played at Baylor in another non-conference game.

In 2011 - a doubleheader in Denton.

In 2010 - a doubleheader in Waco.

In 2009 - a doubleheader in Denton.

We've probably played Baylor more than any other non-con opponent in the last six seasons.

You mean we go there, then the next year they come here, then the next year we go there, then the next year they come here...

Amazing how that works.

I see everything just fine and know that we have played them in Denton. Just poking the bear who doesn't miss a beat to spew negativity regardless of how or where it fits. Carry on and thanks for playing.
