Yep, I am in for Thursday night. Was desperate for some hoop action tonight that I took in the UTA/Lafayette game. Had never been to College Park. Also, promised the kid from Lincoln that I would make a game.

This Thursday there needs to be a show of support at The Pit, even if it's just to help lock up Combs' return to North Texas. He's the future and needs to be shown that the fans reward winning with attendance. So, if you have a grudge against RV, Benford or whoever else just go ahead and lock it up for one night on Thursday and come out and show support with your time. If we get a decent seed who knows what could happen. GMG.

It's sad when a thread for a win that is part of a four game win streak gets less responses than a lose. I guess some people only know how to make negative comments and rather remain silent during a big win. Give the team the respect they deserve and pack the pit this Thursday!

After the Benford induced nut kicking of the last three years just what the hell would a reasonable person expect!?

Not to mention this is happening to a fan base that is used to disappointment. So much so that there are likely a fair number of fans that are simply trying to not get their hopes up while they wait for the other shoe to drop.

Petty? I don't know about that...what seems petty to me is all the continued harping on the HC and AD in every single thread...created for any odd discussion...and then having pretty much zero to say during a four game win streak...sort of like praising a softball coach...hired by the same AD that the folks bitch about hiring the HC in basketball. THAT seems petty to me and very hypocritical. But, only at North Texas, right?
For me, I am just glad all the haters have been fairly quiet for this four game win streak. Such a blessing to not have to see all the hate spewing for a few games. But, never fear...they will be back loud as ever should the team lose a game. You can bank on that...petty that it is of course. But, it is such a comfort knowing they all support the players from afar.

I don't recall many posts about RV's hiring in the 'non-revenue' sports where posters said he was bad. As far as I can recall that is one of his acknowledged strengths.

Combs will be back... Combs are Brice are the future of north texas. I'm hoping Pittman can improve next season and join them in the youth movement.

As far as Benford is concerned, 4 games doesn't make up for 2 1/2 years of major suck.
