I'll be congratulating RV if he actually does use this as buyout money.

This is typical of the UNT fan base. Get excited about someone actually doing their job.

It might be time to start thinking about covering your short position and go long UNT.

Something seems off here....$100k/yr to put up signs in the Super Pit? Not many eyeballs looking at those signs. I'm very grateful for his gift, don't get me wrong.

And it's not like many people attending games would be potential clients either.

It's pretty smart actually. He's giving some coin to the university and getting "free advertising" while enjoying a tax write off.

This really isn't a gift to the AD, its advertising dollars being spent for advertising.

Oh come on man. That's just an extremely negative spin on a generous gift. Sure he will get something in return but there are plenty of other places he could have purchased advertising with a larger yield. This gift is directly benefiting UNT Athletics and his alma mater.

This.

I agree with.

So, we know signage for that location doesn't cost $100K a year. What will this money be used for. Any idea? Possibly to increase the scholarship value? A contract or three buy-out? Completion of the Waranch Tennis Complex? Baseball? Permanant restrooms at Lovelace?

You mean buying out of a road game to Alabama? I doubt it since we can't even negotiate $900K out of Texas. No way we're scheduled to get a mil from Bama.

More suits?

Paying additional "grad assistants"?

Catering for quarterly meetings?
