After a 1st place finish at the Jim Rivers Classic. Could be a team back on the rise, as they have 7 underclassmen (6 sophomores and 1 freshman).

SAN ANTONIO – Jason Roets and Cory Churchman both shot 1-under par in the final round to power the North Texas men’s golf team up the leaderboard on the final day of the UTSA Oak Hills Invite. The Mean Green shot up the leaderboard to a top-5 finish after a third-round score of 4-over par 288, the third best round of the day. NT, which opened the day in eighth, ended the tournament in fourth place.

Great to see continued success with golf

Yep, a lot of times the only positive in UNT athletics. I think last season (when they finished 10th in C-USA) was an anomaly since the whole team was freshmen. I think they are projected to be a top team in the C-USA again this year.

The women's soccer team says hello.

The tennis team is also waving.

Of course, I've spent a lot of time with the tennis team while playing club tennis at UNT. When I was on campus I'd catch the occasional soccer game as well. Didn't mean to omit them. I guess I put the golf team in a different category because they are also the only team to win a national championship at UNT and seeing their re-emergence has been encouraging.
