Homecoming news?

Everywhere that you can find the schedule doesn't have Homecoming dates noted as of yet. Does anybody have any advance news? It looks like it'll probably be either Halloween against UTSA or 11/28 against UTEP. I know it's almost 9 or 10 months off, but I'm trying to get some people organized from multiple states for a trip back at the same time and the more planning time we have, the better.

I figured Thanksgiving would be a bad weekend for it. But that means it's probably on Halloween, right? Would it be any earlier than that?

It most likely will be Portland St. on Oct. 10. Almost a sure victory for the returning alum and about the right time of the season.

You're probably right. If not, it will be Oct. 17th against WKU. Any other date would be unacceptable IMO.

What a great way to drive attendance for that game. Make Portland state homecoming. Wku will bring fans especially if they are going all Marshall 2014 at that time. GMG

They traveled okay for sun belt mix in a qb that ESPN is hoig to love and start touting as a Heismann dark horse and see that number rise. The red blob in Denton again will be fun. GMG

Portland State would make the most sense, WKU would be fine also. The other three Texas schools make no sense at all, just based off of timing. I'd wager that Parents weekend would be with WKU.

Portland would make the most sense. It would be a disaster if we played WKU on homecoming and got our asses kicked. Talk about having to hit the "re-set" button on building up our attendance....
