“Dutton has been in the training room a lot of his time here,” McCarney said. “He has worked to come back from one injury after another, but could never get healthy. He will continue his education and get his degree.”

Sounds like someone who's gone through much sacrifice and frustration attempting to represent our university. Stories like highlight why I am likely more forgiving than some that there's been a feeling of delay in the on-field evidence of a sustained turn around for the program. If Watson has been supported and pushed by the program to value the opportunity at an education (compared with the previous regime), then he won't have risked his body without reward. A program will never not have stories of injury...the shame is when that's coupled with a lost education.
