UNT men’s basketball coach Tony Benford said this afternoon that DeAndre Harris will not play for the Mean Green in their game against Louisiana Tech on Thursday, but he could be back in time for a game against Southern Miss on Saturday.

" ... a player buried on the depth chart of a loaded team at Allen. He didn’t make the varsity team until his junior season ... "

So he started for two years for a team that just won its third consecutive state championship in the state's largest classification and he was "a player buried on the depth chart."

I didn't quite understand that quote either. I don't remember him from last year but I know he was their starting center every time I saw them this past year. They (Allen) deserve credit for their back to back to back season but I would love to see what a more talented Desoto or Cedar Hill squad could do with 6,000 students.

And that's just in the marching band; makes me wonder how many students they have overall.
