Here's the proposed early signing period. It would start on December 16th and last 72 hours. The article says it would last "for two years as an 'experiment' before being reevaluated."

I like that idea. I don't think the early signing period should be before their senior year. The way recruiting is becoming and has become, kids are getting recruited earlier and earlier and being pressured to commit earlier in order to not have their spot taken and lose their offer(s). This can cause kids to make a major decision out of haste.

December gives kids time. It'll also be interesting to see which prospects choose to sign and which prospects want to keep going through the process up until the February.

Power 5 autonomy.

I don't know for sure, but I think Billy is implying an additional step that is not talked about much (I have not read anything about it)

Title IX is a government bill. If P5 total autonomy is going to be accomplished, and most of us think this is "when" not "if", then it will need to be not only above the NCAA, but also establish itself above a government law.

An interesting point of discussion.
