The only current players who have played multiple seasons under Tony Benford are Jordan Williams (a Johnny Jones recruit), Colin Voss, T.J. Taylor, Armani Flanigan and Mourice Aniefiok. We have seven players on the current roster who are in their first year with the team. Only Jordan Williams and T.J. Taylor have more than two seasons here (Williams with 4, Taylor with 3).

Of the 14 players on he current roster, there are only four players who came here straight from high school (including Jacob Gross, a walk-on). One of them is Jordan Williams. Right now there are two Benford recruited players who are playing here straight out of high school, Jeremy Combs and Greg White-Pittman, both of whom are true freshman. The only other high school recruit under Tony Benford, P.J. Hardwick, Benford's first ever recruit, transferred out after playing one season as a true freshman.

They may have been Dodge's boys, but Todd would have gone 4-7 with them.

Thereby doubling his best season ever? I'll give you either Idaho or Southern Miss, but not both. Don't see the other two wins on there.

He would find a way to lose to UTEP (how, I have no idea, but he'd do it) and by the time Tulsa came around at the end of the season, he'd have Zach Olen playing quarterback because his first four quarterbacks would be in intensive care after taking a pummeling behind a completely under sized, under fed offensive line suffering from multiple foot injuries as a result of a shady shoe deal gone wrong. That is, of course, unless he could find a redshirt to burn.

Defense was the pillar of success in 2013. Need I say more on that issue?

Make no mistake. Mac's coaching staff brought those boys up and developed them. All the hocus pocus spread offense on the 1 inch line total disregard for defense and special teams make about 40% of your extra points southlake wizardry in the world doesn't get four wins.

They all left for selfish reasons, not playing time.
