Dead period is officially over

Now we're going to get to the stretch run. Roughly 6 spots left, we still appear to be targeting some May-graduate JUCOs at various positions (defensive end, corner, and still possibly offensive tackle), and we will likely see new names popping up over the next 20 days. Which uncommitted players who we offered during the evaluation period (last spring and summer) will we still choose to pursue? Can we hold off any other late offers for former 5-star qb Kevin Dillman? A lot to track this year.

This class needs a strong finish, and it should be an exciting one as our coaches disperse and hit the road today.

Exciting time for sure. This is when things really heat up for us and Sunday evenings are fun!

Personally I would have sent the coaches out last night and had them staying in a hotel of the prospective athlete's town. That way as 8 o'clock rolled around UNT coaches would be standing in the athletic office of said prospect. And possibly be the first college to talk to the young-man face to face. I really think that would weigh a lot in the players eyes and especially the high school coaches eyes.

In that article by Vito he mentions that we will try to add to our 18 commits. That could be a mistake, but I've said before that I have a hunch one of our "commits" never actually committed to the coaches. Or maybe Jakii Moore is walking on (highly doubtful). And then there's the chance Vito made a mistake. But still an interesting note.
