Manny Diaz leaving Tech would bump them down a notch, but if Tech gets Driskel that bump down will go unnoticed at least for next year.

North Texas has let me down so far this offseason. No true splash recruits, coaching hire or fire, no disappointment being permeated out of the athletic facility to the fan base, nothing. Mac has got to be more vocal throughout the offseason. Comments (preferably critical ones)on SMU, comments on winter conditioning, comments on recruits, new DC philosophy, something, anything. It's crickets right now. We need a guy that isn't afraid to comment and having to face the potential failure from those comments. Not a guy who makes generalized comments that are held to no regard. He sends more indirect backhands to the very fans that are on this board and to fans/alum that attend games than he does at opposing teams/rivals. If he wants to change perception and get people to believe then vocally state your goals publicly in a manner that gets the message across. Sometimes stirring the pot is the recipe for success and publicly writing a verbal check is a way to motivate a team. I'm ranting, but this forum and the lack of offseason initiative from this staff is frustrating. After all, good seasons happen in the offseason.

I'm sure Skip Holtz recruited Driskell in highschool, so that's probably part of this. Also, they just won a bowl with a transfer qb and they run a good pro style offense. Why would anyone think Norh Texas would be in the mix? No ties, and what QB with options would want to transfer here, to this offense, and this coaching staff. It's not about Ruston vs Denton or anything like that.

Exactly. our coaches are bum our fanbade is bum our degrees are bum. Why would anyone invest in good ole unt? Serious question.

Time to give the crown to la tech or UTSA. I'm in folks.

Wrap it up in Denton so I can spend my days in aggieland.

Close up shop we are officially green dung for the next 12 months.

Nahhhhhh. Puppet man and Pom pins coming even if we go opher in the season which is what I predict after this horrible offseason.

Fantastic. Pound us into elimination of the program. I live 1 mile from where chad Morris will be doing his work. Time to root for the pony to upend the frog and ruin their playoff chances.
