I always liked Andy. I hope he will rest in peace.

The thing I remember about Coach Everest is that he had a way of identifying a champion. Clearly he found many.

And you always felt like he was "Mean Green" to the core.

Andy was a great person and good coach. He was Hayden Fry's right-hand man . His son was a good contributor to the North Texas offense during the Hayden Fry era. Rest in peace my old friend.

The story that UNT86 is thinking of is a good one but probably does not need to be told in mixed company or on a public message board. Thanks for remembering it '86. It caused me to smile.
