Things I've noticed so far.

#9, Vernon Butler, the Junior run clogger at nose tackle for La Tech. 6'3" 309 lb, from Mississippi, straight out of the heart of SEC country.

Early on Illinois can't stop Dixon. La Tech should feed him all day.

Big 10 football looks slow compared to the southern boys IMO.

I can tell you when TC played there a little over a month ago the grass was garbage (compared to what it normally is). There was a big concert there where they basically ruined a giant portion of the turf and had to pay 30,000 to re turf the field. You can see where they did that on the screen.

La techs Offense is explosive. They hit the jack pot with Sokol or however you spell his name. He lifted the program this year, wonder what happens to them next year.

Two more La Tech run cloggers on their D Line drawing double teams in their rotation so far.

#96, Tyler Porter, 5'11" 318, from Loisiana

#90 DeAngelo Brooks, 6'0" 301 lbs Tyler JUCO)

Illinois can't seem to run between the tackles so far.

I wonder why that is?

Anyone seen La Techs new club level seating in the end zone? Pretty slick. Makes me appreciate Apogee! What a beautiful facility we have.

Rick, as much as you are loving the La Tech D-Linemen, the SEC is more about speed. 300lb'ers aren't going to be setting any land speed records.
