Without really looking at the schedule, I'm starting to get the feeling we will probably win about 4 conference games.

Joking....? Year the conference is about to go 0-5 on the day. Real scary huh? This is the weakest I have seen a conference in a while. Other than Old Dominion and La Tech no one is impressive. If we only win four games we should just quit athletics all together. Football is terrible and baskwtball is really the only bright spot in the money sports.

Maybe you should show up to a game and try watching games? Hard to have room to talk when you only look at the box score.

We beat rice and UTSA a in both matches and split the home and homes with UTEP, ODU, and Charollette. That is already 8 wins right there. Both Florida schools, UAB a, and Marshall are also very beatable. Another four wins. WKU, the MUTS, and southern Miss may be toss ups. LA teach will deatroy us in our one meeting. That is most likely 12 wins. Add in our 6 wins in OOC play and we have 18 wins which is an improvement from last season.

WKU and UTEP gave Top-5 teams all they could handle, even the Miners who did not have Hunter the last 8+ minutes. WTF kind of monumental CUSA basketball feat needs to be had to impress you?

That's rhetoric. Please don't answer. Just tell me what whiskey you fancy.

A win is a win and a loss is a loss. All that matters is the record at the end. Really all that matters is who walks out of the Confrence tounrmanet. Baring someone like ODU going in defeated and then losing the championship round of the finals we are a one bid conference. There are a few good teams and then other than that the conference is wide open. All it takes is one or two upsets for anyone to go dancing. No one will care that teams played good teams close. All they will care about is who goes dancing. That can go to anyone but Rice at this point. I am only leaving them out because they are really pitaful this season.

Right, because facing a UTEP team that barely lost to AZ is no different than facing a IUPUI team that loses to CSN by 50, right?

This is a discussion about the competitiveness of the conference. I'm not going to waste my time with someone that believes we can compete with last night's UTEP team because a "loss is a loss.", and the point margin nor competitiveness w/o one of the conference's elite players are non-factors.

We lost by 20 to them in Denton last year. We had Alzee and we still couldn't crack 30% from the field. Call me an idiot, but I think relying on luck from 3, and "anything can happen" or "getting hot" are points of desperation when discussing Team X vs. Team Y.

I love this image right now, don't you?

As the all knowing, all seeing poet laureate Dirk Werner Nowitzki once said, "Shut it down. Let's go home."

I believe we have a chance to split with UTEP. If fans would show up we would win at home. Going 1-1 against UTEP is not out of the question.
