NONE of the schools you mentioned are located in an area that gets picked through like DFW. This is the most recruited area in the country BY FAR. Many of the lower tier G5 are offering fringe DFW prospects scholarships just so they can claim to their boosters that they are recruiting in this hotbed to keep the boosters excited. Other fringe DFW prospects are getting G5 offers so that their program can establish a foothold in a certain area or a certain high school so they can try to land BETTER prospects next time.

George Washington never attacked the British army head on. He attacked from unexpected angles at unusual times in unusual ways. That is how underdogs win.

Why keep fighting these programs that consistently beat us for recruits? Let's do something different and maybe we would get a different result.

You don't think the State of Florida isn't just as heavily recruited? And look at what FAU has done there. 14 of their 15 Three Stars and their 1 One Star, all from Florida.

Look at how many Three Stars UTSA, La Tech and Ark State have.

We have 5.

It may all change but as of right now we're getting our asses kicked in recruiting by other schools who have much less to work with.

Hahaha! Florida is NOT as heavily recruited as Texas. How many big time programs are in Florida? Florida State, Miami and Florida. In Texas we have Texas, A&M, Baylor, TCU and Tech. All five of those schools consider DFW their home turf and they get to eat before us. Then you have the rest of the Big 12 that makes itself at home here and schools like LSU and Arkansas and Minnesota and Nebraska and Northwestern and USC and Arizona State and Oregon and Notre Dame and on and on and on...

Yeah, have to agree with the last post. Check out the rosters of damn near every P5 program - especially those in the south and southwest - and there are TONS of Texas players on there.

You should add OU and OSU to that list of Texas schools who claim DFW as their home turf. :roadrage:

This is splitting hairs. Both are heavily recruited, particularly from out of state programs. I could make the argument that more and better skill players come out of Florida, but more and better linemen come out of Texas. Either way it's still splitting hairs.
