SMU's Last Bowl Win...
Agreed they are gone and will never return. As much as I would have loved to be competitive with them, I did see them beaten by us once in Texas Stadium and three times in Denton. The present system suits them just fine as they have always thrown their wealthy alumni’s money at any problem that arose. I have even heard that Clark Hunt and Jerry Jones each contribute $ 1 million a year to their program. That is still no excuse for our pathetic student turnout and lack of support from the City of Denton. Since they don’t support their high school teams why would you expect them to support their principal college even though it is the biggest employer in town.- 1

Is it just me or is Eric Morris destined for great things?
If Caponi was the least bit self aware and considerate of his friend, he wouldn’t have done that. If you put in 2 years of historically bad performance on your job it isn’t cool to beg your friend to keep your job and putting his career in jeopardy if he saves you. If I were looking for a defensive assistant verification of this story would be imperative before I hire him. Even if I like the 3-3-5 and Caponi’s version of it (when he has the right athletes) I would hire a dude that put upon his friend like this. So yes, it is just you. 😂- 1
