Glad I'm not a hater and that this had nothing to do with the school I graduated from? SUMG predicted this kid would rebound from a miracle cure and land somewhere else. I just figured it would be

That's a colossal loss. Miller was the most highly recruited (had more offers) than any defensive player we've ever received a commitment from as long as recruiting websites have been doing their thing. Wish the kid the best, but this one beyond hurts.

Very disappointing - and I feel for the kid... however, it is better to know now so we can fill his spot as opposed to after signing day like McDorman.

Too bad about Sam. Seems like we recruit many players that have a history of injuries.

Can the coaches flip Dustin back to UNT? I doubt it!

I wonder who is up next on the DE board in the coaches office?

Stay with the kid. Have him involved with the program in some way. Can't blame him for hanging them up if he has been battling injuries. Seemed like a great kid that was truly interested in UNT. He may not be on scholarship, but keep him involved, show the East Texas kids that UNT is the place to be.

You guys need to realize, we spurned Mcwhorter and made up BS about needing his transcript before we'd take his verbal commitment. I just can't see there being anyway he'd reconsider us. Not to mention he's a strong-side defensive end or 3-tech defensive tackle. Miller was being recruited as a weak-side defensive end. That's not such a huge deal, but combine that with the first point and it's just not going to be him.

Ideally I'd like us to get Derek Watson from Guyer. I wouldn't mind the Tauefa kid at all, either.

Sam chummed it up with Eli Howard and may had some impact on Eli's commitment. I wonder if this news will affect him in any way, especially with UNT wannabe (smu) down the street sniffing around in our business.

We royally screwed up the McWhorter recruitment, so wishing for him, or any other player from Graham in the forseeable future, is wasted energy.

      I understand that his decisions to go for it on 4th down so much or not to kick FGs or play the field position game are bad decisions. Just playing Devil's advocate. Could it be that those decisions stem from a lack of confidence in the defense? It feels like he believes he has to score TDs on every possession to win because the defense will not stop anyone. So, that takes me back to he should have never kept Caponi after year one.

      I went to the game, again we started slow and accelerated in the second quarter outscoring ACU 27-12. We let them back in it and the lead got down to three points twice. But we went on a game-sealing 11-0 run to take a 66-52 lead as Lampkin took over. One of ACU's starting bigs went out late with an apparent back injury. She's from Bixby, Oklahoma, which is where I've gotten my only speeding ticket, so maybe she deserved it. As for the arena, it shares the same name as SMU's (Moody Coliseum) and looks like a carbon copy of TCU's (albeit half the size). Recently renovated and very nice. The ACU men hosted TXST shortly after. Which we could get some better men's/women's doubleheaders and on the weekend to help boost the ladies' attendance.
