Don't really understand why Marshall headed to Boca to play N.I. when they could have faced a B10 team.

I understand they recruit Florida, but I think the chance to beat a B10 team would have been a greater draw.

Does the HOD bowl prove that the teams are not getting to pick where they want to go, but instead that the bowls are choosing? You would think Marshall would choose to play a B1G team if given the opportunity. Maybe they were not given the choice.

Northern Illinois is a greater opponent to face this season than Illinois and it's a great match up for the viewers to see the MAC Champ vs. CUSA Champ

As an AD or Fan I'd rather my school beat or lose to Illinois than Nothern Ill anytime, Mac champ or not. Will a recruit care you beat N. Illl in a Bowl or a Big10 team? Poor decision for Marshall....I think the AD and staff there just wanted a South Florida vacation.

And once again the SEC will have a good bowl record thanks in large part to the fact that they play (4) Big 10, (3) ACC, (1) AAC and (1) against Notre Dame. The have no games vs the Pac 12. They do play 3 against the Big 12 which seems like more than usual.

Big 12 only gets (1) Big 10, (1) ACC, and (2) Pac 12.

Pac 12 gets (2) ACC, (2) Big 10, (2) Big 12, and Boise St. along with the aforementioned no matchups vs the SEC.
