The thing is Army already tried CUSA. It didn't work for them as it was 1. too competitive and 2. didn't allow enough scheduling flexibility over the long term. While 1 might no longer apply, 2 certainly still does.

No. CUSA won't allow UAB to stay without football, and they won't allow Army (or Navy) to come in with football only.
