The semester ends soon and he is eligible to play at that point if memory serves. Glad they addressed this for us before it no longer matters.

This Oklahoma State game is the last game before the semester ends. If they rule in our favor and he took care of his grades then he could be eligible to play against SFA.

Otherwise we will see him at the tech game correct.... That's what I heard for the beginning if he was not eligible to play.

I think the semester is the key thing here. Reese was kicked off and didn't play any games in the spring semester last year for A&M, and, after the Ok State game, he will have sat out for a full year (two full semesters). That's more what I think they go off of, based on previous cases.

Recall, Tony Mitchell was able to play the first game after the completion of the fall 2011 semester. I know his issue was more of a grade thing, hence why the semester was the thing to look out for. But another case I recalled was Jeronne Maymon; former Marquette transfer who played for Tennessee. He played a few games as a true freshman at Marquette, realized he was playing for Buzz Williams, and decided to transfer during the semester break. He enrolled at Tennessee that spring 2010 semester and was eligible to play once the fall 2010 (his second semester not playing basketball) grades were posted. There is nothing significant about the date of the Texas Tech game, so I'm not sure why whoever you're hearing from said that game. Not doubting them, I just don't know myself why that game/date in particular holds any significance.

That's what I'm expecting here for Reese. Unless he is just ruled ineligible for the year altogether, which I don't think is likely. Only case NCAA could make is that a guy like Maymon transferred on his own accord while Reese was kicked off his previous team for disciplinary reasons. But I'm still thinking will see him once the semester ends.
