I don't know how everyone's experience went at the game but the fans for UTSA are complete classless assholes. They talked so much shit it was ridiculous... They taunted our deep snapper, kicker, punter, cheerleaders, mascot and even the camera crew for FOX SPORTS. They also turned there attention to me and talked trash towards me even though I did nothing but cheer on the MG.

One thing that caught my attention the most is when they said that "Denton is a dirty town and that it is worst than Arkansas because there is so much incest."

I saw some nice ones even got invited for bbq and beer afterwards on way back to car. Nicer than UTep fans but I like utep as a program more.

We will beat them one day.

I know that each fan base has their own bad grapes but this really left a sour taste in my mouth. I some how kept my cool and had to restrain my wife from barking back, LOL.

These guys have no history at all and when they were talking shit about Denton to me, I really almost blew a fuse. I know a lot of you guys have your own opinion about Denton but it is a clean and intelligent and no want talks trash about my town.

Denton is way cooler than San antonio ever will be and I am from sat. Met a guy at mi Tierra who applied at unt and was hoping to move to Denton next year. I told him he was going to love it and wished him well. UTSA fans are who they are Spurs cowboy anything San antonio people. Good for them but we are Denton blessed.

Why would this bother anyone? Have you seen Mean Eugene Levy Green? Hate me for it if you want but I taunt him as much as I can.

Surprisingly, the UTSA fans around me (right edge of our 138 contingent) were actually pretty cool.

We talked plenty of sh*t about each other but it more devolved into comedy rather than slurs and vitriol.

I had about the same experience as Mr. Walker. Besides the awesome fans that pulled us into their tailgate, shared Oktoberfest, fried turkey, alligator and hush puppies.

The AlamoDome game experience sucks though. The piped in music was terrible. Acoustics sucked. Too many in game promotions. Left with a splitting headache.

Nothing says sore loser more than complaining about the other teams fans.. Every fan base has good fans , every fan base has bad fans....It's called smack talk. DBAB & grow a pair.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience. I didn't see many Mean Green fans tailgating, but it looked like a strong contingent in the dome. Definitely louder than some of the other visitors we've had.

Had a good time at Apogee last year despite the cold. Looking forward to next year.

F them. San Antonio has turned into a full fledge infestation.

Their football program sucks balls and their "school" sucks it.They will be pitiful for years to come.

Infested. Interesting.

If anyone calls any other poster on this board a clown, please direct them to this post.

I am glad I know the lay of the land now around the dome for parking and tailgating. Would have tailgated but that early start and the fun bars until 3 last night had me rolling in just in time.

See the runners in apogee next year.

My first impression of you guys was ruined by the unsportsmanlike attitude your players brought to Apogee last year. I still clearly remember sitting in the student section and watching your players flipping off our crowd. Then I was told by a friend after they beat us and the game was over, that the players ran back out on the field and flipped off the crowd again. So to add to this topic, it doesn't surprise me one bit that UTSA fans acted the way some of you described.

When we walked into the stadium, I experienced lots of fans from both sides intent on getting to the game, talking about the game, smiling.

I appreciate their "fans" because I suspect the majority didn't actually attend UTSA. The city turns out well, great corporate support and the fans want their team to win.

Got a lot of "Go Mean Green"s from our fans.

I sat in the cheap seats, but UTSA fans were good to my family and I. They laughed when I over-celebrated, patted me on the back when ZW lost the ball.

Lots of band families up where we were sitting and the band played to us.

It's a matter of perspective. Many of us want to send our 4-8 coach on his way for losing twice to lowly UTSA.. They want to build a statue of their 4-8 coach for winning his 2nd North Texas Bowl.

I don't think either one of you could come off as bigger sore losers even if you tried.

Relax, there weren't even any bowl/conference implications. It was a fun game, I was expecting a boring low scoring game.

The piped in music is awful. I feel like since so many of the stadium people have worked for the Spurs before, they don't know how to do anything that isn't NBA-in-your-face-here's-the-What-a-Burger-What-a-toss. The San Antonio Scorpions do a good job distracting from play also.

One of the best things about college football is that it isn't pro football. There's a band for music. There are chants and cheers for the pauses in game action.

Also the NY Rangers-ish TD thing is dumb.

We cleared out the entire row in front of me with my MG chants. It was great. They didn't like that we would sing the fight song when we scored. They shook their heads and left. :D

I had a wonderful time.

Arrived in San Antonio at lunch time on Friday with the family. Checked in early at the Hilton Homewood Suites on The Riverwalk (only $167 for nice suite with evening drinks and decent breakfast buffet included). Went to Six Flags Fiesta Texas for the lighting of Holiday in the Park. The park is beautiful, immaculately maintained, and the rides are much better managed that our local Six Flags park. We later returned to the hotel but were too late to attend the North Texas alumni function, went down to the Riverwalk for dinner and margaritas outside by the river. The Riverwalk was incredible in all its holiday splendor and the weather was perfect.

Went to the game Saturday morning, ran into lettermen and San Antonio natives Jeff Muenchow and Tommy Harrison, and its always good to see the former players out supporting the team. The game was entertaining as the North Texas fell behind but had an unusual rally spurred by multiple UTSA muffed punts. North Texas had a last minute chance as elusive speedster Zac Whitfield rightfully tried to return a wobbly fumble for winning score. He couldn't control the ball but I'm proud that he at least tried.

I talked with quite a few UTSA fans at the game and they were all very nice.

Stopped at Black's Barbeque in Lockhart for a late lunch on the way home.

It was a great football weekend despite to final score and a reason that I love that we now have these regional rivalries.

Section 136..not too bad...the promotions are a joke....UTSA crowd not bad to us, some snooty bitch said" cant believe they drove 5 hours to lose"...Jeff Wilson was the best part of the game to me...we have something special to look foreword to.
