"5. Missing: Group of Five. The committee continues to show little love for one of only two undefeated teams left in the country. Marshall is No. 18 in the AP Poll and tearing through its schedule this season with little trouble, but that might just be product of that very schedule. It’s difficult to find a game you would consider challenging for the Thundering Herd on the calendar, with no Power Five opponents to complement an already weak Conference USA slate. If the committee isn’t impressed now, games against UAB and Western Kentucky won’t do much to sway it further. Still, a Group of Five school has to play in one of the College Football Playoff affiliated bowl games, and none have impressed the committee to this point with just a few weeks left since East Carolina fell out after the first rankings."

It'll be a nice, convenient cycle, too. No P5 schools will schedule a G5 school they might lose to. The P5 schools will do all they can to snatch up the best talent. And at the end of it all, the "new" BCS will say "those schools don't deserve to get in our party because they don't have the talent or the record for it", all while stealing away the talent and the chances to get the right record.

Unless you're one of those standouts, like Louisville or TCU. Which, good on them, btw.

Sagarin rates C-USA's divisions at 16th and 17th among all conferences. That could have something to do with it.

They scheduled no one. The beat no one that matters.

But who cares? Marshall will get to say they went 12-0, 13-0, or 14-0. That's a pretty big edge when it comes to recruiting.

This won't end until the G5 university presidents grow a pair, stop scheduling whore games so loved by our very own AD, and file a class action antitrust lawsuit against the NCAA and the P5.

Never happen, because people like our own AD are scared of losing the whorin' money.

Best guess is 1 loss Colorado State if they win out.In addition[,posting the obvious], unless Texas beats TCU, only 3 out of our 12 opponents this year have winning records, Short walk from pen house to outhouse.
