I posted this in the recruiting thread, but Mr. Riddle needs to tell Mac they had a class in college, or that he used to date Mac's college roommate's sister, or something. Build that bond!

I thought it was funny that Blake Macek was throwing some passes on the sidelines. Hey, nothing else has worked and...wait, is the Cooper Jones scenario still off the table?

That we have such an accessible athletic department that we can communicate with, and that we have such affordable tickets.

Yeah, totally. We just have to keep getting our teeth kicked in and we'll always have cheap tickets. It's a lose-win, but still a win?

(now that I have my rant out of the way on another thread)

Affordable tickets brought me to North Texas!

And the tons of leg room in my section.

And the kettle corn.

There are at least 60 teams in CFB that can't check off even one of those things!

In the words of the immortal Zack Mayo: "I got nowhere else to go."

Groupon football tickets next year?

I pointed out almost 15 years ago that TCU and SMU have both used the Entertainment Book to get coupons out into the Metroplex. It's a simple and fairly inexpensive marketing scheme. Now that Groupon exists, I see no reason not to give it a try if we want to try to fill the stadium for once. We usually have at least 8,000 seats available, so why not? I know you were kidding but really, if the AD would actually agree to do it, I don't think it's a bad idea at all.

It's going to be hard selling season tickets for a 3 win team who's only home OOC game will probably be something like Houston Baptist or Lamar .... a SMU ticket should be included in the season ticket packet

While certainly not to the degree of UNT90, I am genuinely curious if I'm going to get something in the mail with my ticket renewal offering some kind of add-on for SMU. Were it to get spun in any way, shape or form as a sixth "home" game, I would expect comparable seats to those I enjoy at Apogee at comparable pro-rated ticket pricing.

That's entirely possible. There isn't a seat at Ford Stadium that is unavailable.

Never happen. It will be sold as an alternative home game that season ticket holders will then have to buy tickets in order to attend. Don't think I'll be getting to go to the SMU club level...

Starting to worry about a 5th home game at this point. Maybe Harry can ask RV if a 5th home game will absolutely happen. Of course, you really can't believe anything RV says at this point.

I think we buy an FCS home game, but I'll feel much more comfortable when this is actually announced.

It seems RV's brilliant 1990s scheduling plan has us playing a whore game, buying an FCS, and 2 offsetting one and ones with uninspiring G5s for eternity.
