Yes, we seem to start slow too often. Also seem to give up a lot of easy baskets inside the paint without much resistance. Need to get shooting and rim defense straightened out quickly to have a season comparable to last year.- 1

Women vs. SMU (12/19/24)
Went 1-11 from 3 in the first half. Couldn't hit anything and made a lot of bad fouls. Comeback was nice, but we have to quit falling behind early. -

Yes, the defense was bad. But the offense factored more in the losses as the year went on. I think Chandler's injuries affected his throwing accuracy. When he went into hyper-mode later in the year, many times it resulted in quick 3-and-outs, flipped the field for the opponent, and provided little rest time for the defense. Poor coaching decisions on offense also were to blame. Shotgun formation on the goal line instead of under center. Pass plays called when we only needed 1-2 yards for a first. Several times going for unnecessary 4th downs early in games, neglecting makeable FGs. Going for 4th downs from our own side of the field and missing left the defense in some bad situations.- 2
