Our fans would lose it... Most people would realize it's an exhibition. You play to get everyone minutes, a bit of rhythm, but most importantly avoid injuries.

Wow! The Lions are having a good Fall. Their football team is usually in the cellar of their conference but they won the Lone Star Championship last week.

The Lions have not won the LSC just yet. They beat Tarleton yesterday to advance to the championship game next week against Angelo State. The LSC has an odd playoff system of taking the top 4 teams and having a playoff. If you're one of the teams that doesn't finish in the top 4, your season is over after 8 games.

The Lonestar conference (DII) has some salty BB teams this year.. I think the top teams can compete with most of the Texas DI schools

The bottom 4 teams in the LSC also play each other . So all the teams play two extra games . For what who knows ? WT played McMurry and ENMU played A&M Kingsville . WT and Eastern meet next Sat. for 5th place. As a side note WT finished 2nd but had to forfeit 4 games for use of an ineligible player,

I'm gonna bet this helps Tech more than it hurts them when the real season begins. Tubby has their full attention now--and as much I cannot stand their stupid fanbase, Tubby knows that Lubbock becomes a much tougher place to play when conference season rolls around if they have any kind of decent team. He will get them ready.

It wouldn't surprise one bit if Tubby didn't "throw" this one to get the players attention...
