Rice gets it going in second half to knock off North Texas

With the running game never getting going Saturday, the Rice Owls found other ways to get in the end zone.

Jordan Taylor hauled in an 88-yard touchdown on the first play of the game and Ryan Pollard returned an interception for a touchdown in the Owls 41-21 victory over North Texas.

Jowan Davis added a pair of short touchdown runs for the Owls (4-3, 2-1 Conference USA), who won their fourth straight game to move above .500 for the first time this season.

Taylor, who missed most of the first month with a foot injury, had four catches for a season-high 137 yards. His touchdown catch a perfectly timed throw across the middle from Driphus Jackson came 18 seconds into the game.
