It wasn't the quarterbacks. The blocking sucked. The receivers can't get separation. The running is pedestrian. Worse yet was the play-calling. It's time to get new players alright but not just quarterbacks.

Also we need to sign some new assistants next year, some head have to roll after this disaster of a season. I didn't have sky high expectations for the year (thought 6 or 7 wins was within realm of possibility). but to go from coaches pick to win the conference to an 0-4 start...some heads have to roll.

In the second half it was.

We haven't had a QB capable of WINNING you a game since...gasp...Todd Dodge was here. We have had QB's capable of leaning on a strong defense and running game. Take away these things and this same thread occurs a year earlier. Some choose to willfully forget this.

from 9-4 to 2-6 with little hope of another win this season. But you know, I don't know why anyone is shocked - before he came here and assuming we don't win again this season, Mac's winning percentage here in 4 years will be almost what it was when we hired him.

Ya, it's not like we have a recent QB that was MVP of a bowl game or anything.

Stupid.

Revisit this if/when our defense and special teams carry any of these quarterbacks to a bowl game.

We don't miss DT. You may want to grab some frozen peas for the swelling if you insist on banging your head into that wall to soothe your ego.

It's your ego that won't let you admit you are wrong, no matter the evidence that is presented in front of you.

Why have we changed QBs 3 times this year and none last year?

People on here are really really football stupid.

This is really not hard though you are making it so. It's easy to switch out your quarterbacks looking for one to carry you and/or provide a spark. DT would be part of a rotation this year. It's hard to switch out an entire defense when it is defective.

When you have a defense and a special teams unit that can cover up a 1:1 TD to INT ratio you can afford to run with it (especially when your alternative was Mini Mac last year). Make no mistake, if Orr, Trice, Chancellor, Abbe, Bellazin, McCoy and Darnell smith were on this team Greer would still be your QB.

Yup. See SMU game for evidence.

Lol!

The lengths some people will go to is pretty amazing.

Notice how QB's weren't switched out in the Ohio, Tulane, Georgia (until it was garbage time for Mini Mac), and Craphole game last year?

Ever wonder why that was?

You are wrong and were wrong about DT. Someday, when you are 75 maybe, you will realize it doesn't make you a weak person to admit a mistake and will stop disparaging a QB that was MVP of one of only 2 modern era bowl wins in this program's history.

1 JUCO

1 high schooler.

What we currently have isn't working.

I have no confidence in this staff's ability to recruit a very good impact Juco or high school quarterback. Our best bet is to land a very NICE transfer from a high major (who was relegated to 2nd or 3rd string for whatever reason). Mac's job should be officially on the line with a repeat of 2014 in 2015.

Not a DT fan, but if you don't think we'd be a better team with him at QB then I'm not sure what you're watching. He wasn't great, but he was a heck of lot better than anything we're putting behind center this year.

Did you see the Indiana game? The '85 Bears defense wouldn't have helped us win. Pretty much the same against UAB. The defense can't defend against a Pick 6 or a very short field.

Here is what DT averaged in CUSA play last season. 17-27 for 202 yds 1td 1.25 int

And this years QB's? While those numbers aren't great, I bet they are significantly better than this year.

Mcnulty averaging 18-34 for 236.5 yards and 1 to 1 td:int ratio over two conference starts. So again, Mcnulty is proving what this team would look like with DT.

But that's the thing that emmitt is trying to say... Our super shitty qb play this year has no bearing or shouldn't elevate last year's average qb play any more. Last year was what it was for last year. No missing him. No wishing we had that play now... because there are some of us who think it reasonable for us to find a qb from this great state that can be better than average since we see it from other like schools often.
