The folks in Vegas aren't taking too kind to our match up this weekend. We are 14 point dogs in this fight. I hate to ask the question, but do you think we can stick within two touchdowns Saturday? God help this message board if we don't. It sure wasn't a fun trip the last time we visited the Owls in Houston.

who knows...they have 2 good rbs...that's gonna hurt...they are on a 3 game winning streak...want to payback the boys for last year...

I was looking at team defense #s for C-USA and wow, there are some French defenses in this conference. If you only read GMG, you'd think we're easily the worst defense in the entire FBS, let alone C-USA.

On paper we should be competitive. This team's problem all season has been executing against FBS level competition. Is this the week they will resolve that problem? I think they'll improve, but I think it's too big of a problem to turn on a dime in a week's time. I do fervently hope they prove me wrong. :)

Rice runs over us. We may stop then the first two drives. They build a lead and McNulty looks similar to USM. We get a few field goals because Rice plays it safe.

Mac realizes the season is over and prepares for next year.

Dajon comes in for mop up duty and looks good against the twos. Scores one or two garbage tds so it will give us something to argue about next week.

      First College Net Rankings released

      Nobody is putting Utah State 25 spots in front of UConn, it's not a poll ranking. It's just computer metrics, really not that deep. That said, there's a great website that shows you how every poll voter voted. It includes graphs and even highlights extreme picks when they put a team 5 or more spots away from their poll ranking. Several journalists voted USU in the top 25 along with UConn and Dayton both unranked. Who knows what their actual gap would be if those journalists ranked to 40. Below is the website. Click on a team to see that team's week-by-week ranking via graph, then scroll down to see where each journalist ranked that team. You can click on that journalist's name to see how they voted.       let's try to get this thing back on the rails... Evansville (269) Minnesota (155) McNeese (75) Oregon State (49) Northern Iowa (167) Utah State (14) High Point (190) MVSU (364...literally dead last) App State (199) Houston Christian (347) I know it really showed through this year, but the next step in this program is clearly upping the non-con scheduling...especially if half the AAC teams are gonna be dragging down our NET rankings. I know the SEC/ACC; Big 12/Big East challenges are TV/ESPN driven, but it'd be incredible if the AAC could have a similar set up with another solid basketball conference like the A-10, WCC, MVC, MWC...surely ESPNU would chip in a turkey sandwich for that, right? anyone know if that McNeese game is a home/home? if they can keep these levels, that'd be a great add on the regular.

      You’re the poster child—as a fan, as a school—that is wrong with the current college football world. Congrats, trust fund kid. Your world seems so easy and fun to those of us who have worked our entire lives and support an Alma Mater that has no ability to compete in the current landscape. Yall can simply buy away our players and coaches. Thats garbage. Enjoy your team and your season. Seriously, never thought CFB would create a system ever again that your type of program could ascend in. You did it.
