He mentioned in the post game interview that if you bad mouth this team on social media that he would kick them off the team. Clearly this was targeted at someone. Who was this targeted at? I

I thought the whole interview was very odd. It seems like his whole focus was on the possible bad conduct of the football team after a loss and he was ok with his team's performance against another bad team.

I get the sense this whole thing is coming apart.

Hope I'm wrong.

Is 2-10 "coming apart?" I don't see another win on the schedule.

Neither do I, but losing the team would be much more disasterous and lead to 2-10 or 3-9 next year.

That is what I fear.

I did too. It seemed like he was justifying the lose and then calling someone (or a group of players out). I would like to know who it was targeted at. If it was targeted at Dajon then I have lost hope not only for this season, but future seasons as well. Bad mouthing players is justified but they cannot talk ant their frustrations on the team? I know on the basketball boards I defend Benford but that is over for the coming year. He has had time. Mac has also had time. It's time to play the best players and put egos aside.

I didn't hear the interview or see a tweet , but I thought it was odd than Evans didn't see a snap ( unless I missed it ). He started last game and is 1 of the few explosive guys we have on the roster.

I am nervous Mac is calling out guys like Evans and Dajon and he will run them off. We will the. Be stuck with guys like McNulty and Pergam carbon copies for the foreseeable future. Decent guys but not game changers.

Yeah, and Mac was saying bad things about Santa Clause, furry little kittens, Mother Theresa, babies, Old Yeller, the American flag, first responders, etc.

Wait, that's maybe not what he said. Maybe what he said was " because we came up short tonight, do not let this be an excuse to go out tonight and embarrass this program and university. If you think that's the thing to do, I'll run you out of the program so fast it'll make your head spin."

Coach speak. Focusing the attention on where he has a perception of success.

Also, Richard Abby and a lot of others would disagree with this quote. And thank god it isn't true.

Thanks for posting this. When I read the first post in this thread, I was thinking that I heard the term "embarrass" and not "bad mouth". Nor did I recall anything about social media. Seems to be a case of assumptions and misinformation in the thread. That said, I did assume he was talking about players self destructing publicly. I'd expect them to be mad and bummed based on their recent performances.

Mac's job is to coach and inspire the team. If calling out the team or players is what he professionally thinks will inspire certain individuals to improve, he's doing what we are paying him to do. It's not the players' responsibility and isn't productive for them to go off negatively in social media, in my opinion. You can't hold players and coaches to the same standard. They all have different roles in the success of the overall team.

It's already fallen apart. There was zero emotion on that bench. They are going through the motions. The season appears to be a bust. I doubt we win again this year. I'm sad.

Really, because I saw dozen of players on the bench looking to the crowd, swinging towels around in the air, raising their arms trying to get the crowd into it. That was all throughout the game.

I don't see a team that has quit, I see a team that doesn't have the skill and talent to win at this point. There is not going to be a lot of rah rahs on any bench when a team is continuing to get badly beat.

I didn't either. But, I think you may see it next week and for the remainder of the year.
