1. New Jersey Devils - Though red and black are overused and tiresome, the Devils have managed to take the two colors and make the sharpest and classiest sweaters in the NHL

2. Chicago Blackhawks - Once again a team has managed to take the overused red and black and turn it into a sharp, good looking uniform.

3. New York Rangers - Excluding their alternate jersey, the "Broadway Blueshirts" are a classic. I don't think any other team could pull off spelling the team name diagonally as well.

4. Colorado Avalanche - Once again, excluding the 3rd jersey. Unique colors of a blue shaded teel with burgandy, combined with a unique logo. They also stray from the typical straight lines on the sleeve and base of the sweater.

5. Buffalo Sabres - Were one of the first to stray from the typical straight lines on the sweater. They manage to make black work as a primary color by offsetting it with red and gray.

I considered Montreal and Toronto, but aside from Vancouver, I think that the Canadian teams should always be thought of in a different light. I can't compare them to the rest of the NHL. Except for the Original 4 and then the original 6, They are on a different stage. A higher stage.
