It's no secret that the P5's couldn't care less about the G5 schools. They control the $$ and would be happy to see most, if not all G5 go to FCS. I do not see the opportunities for any G5's to move to P5 any time soon; more like the P5's will try and reduce the current numbers in their ranks (hint, hint AAC you are not going to be invited to make it a P6). The G5's need to get off their asses and work together with regional OOC games to reduces the cost and allow more fans to travel. The "best case" would be for some of the schools to stop thinking they're "too good" to be in the same conference with "X" and start working together on regional G5 conferences that will allow for lower travel cost and greater fan travel. "TV" revenue is not going to be the deal breaker for most schools. If P5's want to play games against G5's they need to work on one-for-one games or two-for-one with the "higher" programs. If there is not a home game for the G5 they need to go after $$$ (if they work together they can earn a lot more money). I would also like to see us, and other G5's be a lot more careful to sign deals years in advance; if the market changes, and it will most likely go up, you don't want to be getting paid the "old" rate which is now much lower than the going rate.
