A source close to Sonny Cumbie told the American-Statesman on Monday that TCU’s co-offensive coordinator is interested in coming to Texas as the Longhorns’ offensive coordinator. Texas does not have an opening, but that’s expected to change after Saturday, which is likely to be receivers coach Jay Norvell’s final game as play-caller. Norvell, hired this past offseason from Oklahoma, took over play-calling duties in week two for the demoted Shawn Watson. Asked Monday if he had spoken with Cumbie, Strong said, “No, I haven’t.
