OWASSO — Fear and hope filled Will Kuehne in June. Fear that he would miss out on North Texas, a school he really liked, if he waited any longer to commit as quarterbacks began to come off the board. Hope that when he did commit to the school in Denton, Texas, that he would be the piece to bring in big recruits to build the class. That pushed Kuehne, Owasso's star quarterback, to commit on June 19, landing a chance to return close to his hometown just two years after moving away to play quarterback and be closer to family. “That's where I felt best with the connections that I have with coaches,” Kuehne said. “Then growing up there, it's 15 minutes from where I was born and raised. Probably the connections and being able to go back home was what helped me make my decision.” Read more: https://newsok.com/article/5600684/the-oklahomans-super-30-why-owasso-qb-will-kuehne-chose-north-texas

They know the game of football and if I came here they can make me the best quarterback I can be. They can help get me ready for the next level and that really intrigues me. Key is rated a 3-star with a grade of 83 with the 247Composite. He's rated the No. 56 pro-style quarterback in the nation and No. 13 recruit in Oklahoma. As a junior, Key completed 129-of-234 passes for 1,900 yards, 16 touchdowns and six interceptions. Key has good fundamentals and has good mobility for someone his size. He said Chaney didn't make a lot of adjustments in his game. It was just mostly in my drop and staying taller, Key said. Not really anything with my feet or my throwing motion. He just wanted me to make quicker decisions and make more accurate throws. Key has seen his recruiting pick up in recent weeks with the spring evaluation period. I'm just waiting on that big D-I offer, Key said. I have got seven good schools. I feel like though I can go play big-time football. He has been offered by Arkansas State, Colorado State, Illinois, Houston, Toledo, North Texas and Western Michigan. Key feels he has the talent to play in the SEC or Big 12. My size obviously, Key said when talking about his strengths. When you first look at me you can tell I'm a big kid.
