I was hoping that someone else would bring this up, because I'm sure everyone is tired of hearing me harp about it.
HOWEVER.......this win over Rice presents one of the best opportunities to get the North Texas culture change-train rolling out of the station.
EVERYONE is on a high about this game and they are on a high about their personal experiences/feelings about the event. And I'm guessing the students have felt it more than anyone. And because of that THIS is the opportune time to fully engage them in the athletic experience at North Texas and therefore.........CHANGE THE CULTURE.
EVERYONE in charge of promotions, spirit, and traditions at North Texas needs to jump on this. Coach McCarney has done his part by changing the culture of the football team. It's now up to the officials at North Texas to strike while the iron is hot. They need to remind everyone of how special this event was, and how special they felt as participants in this event. And keep the momentum going.
As Seals and Croft said in one of their classic hits........"we may never pass this way again".
