More on a new addition to the UNT 2018 roster...
Cole McCrary’s game is simple. His key attributes are effort, motor, and passion. “I have a high motor and play with a chip on my shoulder. My will to be around the ball every play separates me from other recruits at my position,” said McCrary. The 6’2″ 230 pound two-way athlete has used these skills to dominate at the High School level.
McCrary was nominated as a Senior Captain and helped lead the Woodrow Wilson (Dallas, TX) Wildcats on both offense playing Tight End and defense playing Defensive End. He was a 3x All-District player who finished his career with 17.5 sacks, 15 Quarterback hurries, 151 total tackles, 30 tackles for a loss, 5 forced fumbles, 4 pass knockdowns, 2 blocked Field Goals, 1 interception, 9 touchdowns, 400 receiving yards, and 30 receptions. His Senior season was extremely special because he played with a broken hand in a cast and still found ways to make an impact. “I improved my game a lot, became a better leader, and improved my weaknesses,” he said.
