  1. There is an article in todays USA TODAY regarding coaching turnover. The following quote is of note:" It's no exact science when you hire a coach," Western Kentucky athletics director Todd Stewart said. "If it was, you wouldn't have 25 to 30 jobs turning over every year and you wouldn't have Notre Dame, which has more resources than anybody, actually paying someone $15 million not to coach their team."
