DENTON (UNT), Texas – Nearly 2,000 students will receive degrees from the University of North Texas this summer. Commencement ceremonies are set for Aug. 9 and 10 (Friday and Saturday) in the UNT Coliseum, southeast corner of Highland Street and North Texas Boulevard at 600 Ave. D. The ceremony for doctoral and master's degree candidates will be held at 3 p.m. Aug. 9 (Friday), and undergraduate commencement ceremonies are set for 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Aug. 10 (Saturday). This summer, 1,307 undergraduate students, 490 master's students and 120 doctoral students applied for graduation. Watch the live streaming of the commencement ceremonies. The undergraduate ceremony at 9 a.m. Aug. 10 will feature graduates from: · College of Public Affairs and Community Service · College of Visual Arts and Design · Frank W. and Sue Mayborn School of Journalism · College of Merchandising, Hospitality and Tourism · College of Music The undergraduate ceremony at 1 p.m. Aug. 10 will feature graduates from: · College of Education · College of Information · College of Engineering · College of Business The undergraduate ceremony at 5 p.m. Aug.10 will feature graduates from: · College of Arts and Sciences Graduates and their guests are invited to commencement receptions on Aug. 9 and 10. The reception on Aug. 9 will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. for doctoral and master's degree candidates. The reception on Aug.10 will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for all other undergraduate candidates.
