UNT alumn Rodolfo Cazaubon had just missed out on qualifying for Rio, but since several players have pulled out and he was the first replacement, we will now see him there. This should be good exposure for him, given that it is a tournament with only 60 players.
There is also still a small chance that UNT alumn Sebastian Munoz will make the field if there are a few more withdrawals.
Rodolfo Cazaubon will be of the last players still in the hunt for the national title this afternoon when he begins play in the NCAA tournament.
I wrote a story on his unusual journey at UNT for today’s paper. He got off to a horrible start in Denton, quickly turned things around and will go down as one of the best players in school history.
