Sizelove’s older brother, Jake, is playing at Tulsa. Their father, Mike, played at UNT and was a letter winner in 1981 and 1983. However, when Sam showed interest in Kansas State, Sizelove said, his father shared the enthusiasm.
“I think he liked K-State the most because it just fits me as a player and a person the most,” Sizelove said. “I don’t think he ever really wanted me to go play at North Texas, just because he didn’t feel like it was the right fit for me.”

“They really made us feel like they wanted to us play for them early on,” Wilson said. “It was a good feeling. The whole atmosphere of being in Manhattan, it was warming. I enjoyed everything about it.”
