One of his former high school teammates, Derek Longoria, is a current Mustang and another reason that Ontiveros is considering SMU. Ontiveros went to three SMU games last season and visited during junior day so he is extremely familiar with everything on the Hilltop. “The campus is nice,” Ontiveros said. “It’s beautiful.” Vanderbilt, UTSA, UNT, Texas State and a few Ivy League schools are also recruiting Ontiveros.
