David Wolf is the new vice president for advancement at the University of North Texas. Wolf starts the job June 1. Most recently, Wolf was executive director of individual giving at University of California, Los Angeles, where he increased regional giving by 20 percent and raised more than $50 million. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Ph.D. in higher education from UNT. David Wolf, executive director of individual giving at UCLA, will be the next vice president for advancement at the University of North Texas. He is the latest hire under Neal Smatresk, who joined the university as president in February 2014 and has since made major changes to top-level administration. This makes the fourth replacement on his Presidents Cabinet, which is comprised of 10 vice presidents. Two of the positions are currently filled with interim members, who are performing the job functions until permanent hires are made. Michael Monticino held the position of vice president for advancement until last August, when he left the university to become president of Academic Analytics LLC. Since then, Eileen Moran has been the acting vice president. When Wolf begins June 1, Moran will return to her post as associate vice president for advancement.
