According to his twitter account. Best of luck to him.

With Dajon -- the situation is a bit muddier. A lot of people are trying to throw out theories about why Dajon is gone now. And did he get dismissed from the team or did he leave? I'm not going to share what I've heard, but I think it's safe to say Dajon was always going to be a story of 'What If'?...

North Texas is right back where it has spent a whole lot of time since the end of its breakout season of a year ago. The Mean Green are once again evaluating their options at quarterback, this time in the days leading up to a game against Southern Miss on Saturday at Apogee Stadium. UNT went...

First things first: 1) I am trying to burn board time during an off week. 2) I know this is way to early to be statistically significant, see #1. If you look at all QB's with at least 20 completions, Dajon Williams is #1 in Pass Efficiency Rating (formula is (8.4 * Yds + 330 * TD - 200 *...

UNT didn’t have a conventional press conference today, but did make a host of players available this afternoon. The video at the top of this blog is of quarterback Dajon Williams and Darvin Kidsy discussing UNT’s win 77-3 win over Nicholls State on Saturday. There were a couple of key news items...

Dan McCarney is your classic Big 10 guy. He preaches smashmouth football, clock control, and teams that are led by defense. His first year at North Texas featured an offense led by 1000-yard rusher Lance Dunbar (now a Dallas Cowboy). His second year at North Texas featured a stable of young runnin...

Freshman Dajon Williams made his first start at quarterback and could not have had an easier debut, completing 11-of-14 passes for 176 yards and three touchdowns and rushing four times for 68 yards and two touchdowns. The Mean Green averaged 11.9 yards per pass attempt and 8.5 yards per rush, and al...

UNT made a key move today — both in terms of its immediate future and its long-term plans. Dajon Williams is in at quarterback for the Mean Green. The story of how UNT got here in terms of the last couple of months is one we went into a little on the blog today. UNT head coach Dan McCar...

Dajon Williams spent a whole lot of time positioned directly behind North Texas’ huddle in practice over the past few months. Injuries and off-the-field issues kept the redshirt freshman out of the lineup and without a whole lot to do. UNT offensive coordinator Mike Canales made sure that time d...

The two big issues of the day following UNT’s 42-21 loss to Louisiana Tech last night at Apogee Stadium are UNT’s quarterback problems and attendance issues. Here are a couple of quick thoughts on each: UNT has to look at other options at quarterback: We will get into this in the paper tomor...

One fact I didnt mention last night is that defensive end Daryl Mason missed the game with an injury he suffered in practice leading up to the game. Mason should be back for the SMU game, which should help matters. Read more: http://meangreenblog.dentonrc.com/2014/08/time-for-some-sunday-leftovers...

There is nothing better when it comes to sports discussions than a list. A pretty interesting one came out today — NFL.com’s list of all 128 teams in major college football in order of the strength of their quarterback situation. My thoughts on where UNT stands are pretty well known. Rea...

Andrew McNulty throws a pass during North Texas' spring game at Apogee Stadium. McNulty will compete with Josh Greer and Dajon Williams for the starting job in fall practice. It seems like we have been here before when it comes to UNT football. Lets turn the clock back a little. - See more at:...

I know everyone, including Dajon was disappointed he was injured and could not play in the scrimmage on Saturday. I thought it was neat to see him cheering on and congratulating his teammates from the sidelines. Get well soon Dajon!

1). As talented as QB Dajon Williams athletically, is he just not yet ready for prime time. First off -- he's just a redshirt freshman... so after his medical redshirt he will have 4 more years to play. I think sometimes we forget that, and his performance in the Idaho home opener game last season...
