  1. Oklahoma 51, Tulsa 20 Tulsa took a beat-down from 14th-ranked Oklahoma, and fell to 1-2. Tulsa will have the week off before hosting a rather dreadful looking Iowa State team on Thursday the 26th. Arkansas 24, Southern Miss 3 Southern Miss fell to 0-3, despite Arkansas' starting QB Brandon Allen going down in the 1st quarter. Things won't get easier at Boise State on the 28th. North Texas 34, Ball State 27 North Texas improved to 2-1 with a tough come-from-behind win over Ball State, thanks to a fairly heroic effort from QB Derek Thompson. Unfortunately, a trip to Georgia is next up, and everyone from College Football Gameday to the Betfair's news site, a sports exchange online where you can put real money on the game outcomes, will have the Mean Green as major underdogs. Bethune-Cookman 34, Florida International 13 This miserable home loss dropped FIU to 0-3, and has them looking like league bottom-dwellers. Florida Atlantic 28, South Florida 10 It's always good to pick up that first win, but Florida Atlantic still has improving to do, and a win over South Florida is looking less and less impressive these days. Middle Tennessee 17, Memphis 15 Despite its 0-2 record, Memphis is a capable football team, so this was a solid win for Mid Tenn. At 2-1, the Blue Raiders will head to Florida Atlantic next with a good chance to snag a win on the road. Rice 23, Kansas 14 Rice picked up a nice home win to improve to 1-1 after a respectable loss to Texas A&M to open the season. With a number of winnable games on the horizon, Rice could be positioned for a strong league season. UTEP 42, NM State 21 This dominant road win helped UTEP improve to 1-1 after a tough opening loss to New Mexico. Ohio 34, Marshall 31 Tough loss for Marshall, who nearly rallied to improve to 3-0. A trip to Blacksburg to play Virginia Tech next week will keep the pressure on the Thundering Herd. Arizona 38, UTSA 13 UTSA fell to 1-2 with a rather listless road loss to what looks like a solid Arizona team. This post has been promoted to an article Click here to view the article
