A Thursday night West Division showdown between teams coming off big wins over in-state foes opens this week's action, as Louisiana Tech visits North Texas (7 p.m. CDT on CBS Sports Network). The Bulldogs are coming off a convincing 48-20 win at Louisiana-Lafayette and will be playing their third straight game this season on the road against a bowl team from a year ago. In the win at ULL, LA Tech running back Kenneth Dixon ran for 184 yards and two touchdowns, including a C-USA-record 99-yard touchdown run. Under head coach Dan McCarney, the Mean Green has amassed a home record of 13-5 at Apogee Stadium since 2011, which is the third-best home winning percentage in the state of Texas during that period, behind only Baylor and Rice.
