All - Check out the great logo design that we are using for this year's GMG.Com Basketball Classic! Way cool! Mucho Kudos to M Benjamin Designs for his fine work! This year's game....again benefiting the UNT Cheer Squad...will take place on March 23rd with player registration around 10:00AM and tip-off in the neighborhood of 11:00AM...our gym this year will be the Strickland Middle School Gym in Denton (yep...our "usual" spot on campus was reserved already as was every other place we checked). In addition to the game, we will be looking at a tour of the new basketball practice facility (if the floor is "walkable" by that time) and an after-game "tailgate" and awards presentation at RUDY'S BBQ in Denton. So, check out the shirts and if you have not signed up to play and would like to do so, player fee is still on $25 and includes the t-shirt. There will be a silent auction with some great UNT and non-UNT related items, a half court shot contest at half-time and just a bunch of fun. The Cheer Squad will also be holding a mini-cheerclinic that morning at Strickland before the game and many of these aspiringcheer team members will be cheering at the game. Looking to have a few "surprise" guests at the game as well. Should be even more fun than last year's event. So, what do we need???? 1) We need players 2) We need more silent auction items and event sponsors 3) We need donations to the "cause"...our Cheer Squad members do not receive scholarship help, and they spend hours of their time and dollars out of their own pockets to help support UNT athletes. 4) We need folks just to show up on game day to watch and maybe bid on our auction items. If you are interested in helping in any way...either post in this thread or just let me know via email, PM or phone. We could use the support. If you would like to simply purchase a t-shirt...tell me which color you would like and the size and how many....$25.00/each...hey...it's for a worthy cause and they look great!
