Thursday August 30th 6:00 PM Tulsa @ Bowling Green (LINE BG -3) This one should be a good one -- we should find out how good Tulsa is as they play a very consistent performer on the road...real nice test for the Hurricane out of the gate... 6:30 PM Western Carolina @ Middle Tennessee (NO LINE) - MUTS should start out 1-0. Still would be interesting to watch during Tulsa game commercials if it is televised...interested to see how MUTS look this season since we play them. 7:00 PM Jackson State @ Tulane - (NO LINE) Tulane should win but J-State won the SWAC and we know having played TSU last year they can have some athletes... Friday, August 30 7:00 PM Florida Atlantic @ Miami (FL) - (MIAMI -32) Miami should win easily but never know about these crosstown games. This game aside I think FAU will really surprise some people this year if they can stay healthy.. Saturday, August 31 11:30 PM Florida International @ Maryland - (LINE MARYLAND -20) If FIU still had the team they had a couple years ago with Hilton this could be good but they don't. 11:30 PM Louisiana Tech @ North Carolina State - (LINE NC STATE -13.5) Tech's best hope is their passing game can exploit State's secondary. Tough way to start the season. 12:00 PM Rice @ #7 Texas A&M (NO LINE) Will Johnny play? If so this could get ugly...but I'm hoping Rice will keep it close. 6:00 PM Old Dominion @ East Carolina (NO LINE) Just my personal belief but I think ECU is going to tan their hide. Will be pulling for ODU though. 6:00 PM Idaho @ North Texas - (LINE - UNT -15) Can we...will we? 6:00 PM Miami (OH) @ Marshall (LINE Marshall -18) Really the best matchup battle of the week next to Tulsa OHIO. Great scouting game for us to DVR IF it is televised. 6:00 PM Texas State @ Southern Miss (LINE USM -7.5) This one could be interesting but I think Southern Miss is better than their record last year and should handle Fran at home. 6:00 PM UAB @ Troy (LINE TROY -5) I hate to say it but I think Troy may win this game. Blazers please prove me wrong. After what Troy did to our season last year I am pulling for you! 7:00 PM UTSA @ New Mexico (LINE UNM -3) I really don't have a clue what New Mexico has however they aren't New Mexico State. Pulling for our conference mates always but this could be a tough game to win against a deeper team on the road.
