I always cheer for Texas. The exceptions; when they play A & M and when they play North Texas. I've been to all the "money" games over the last 25 or so years, and I've never had a problem with any OU or A & M fans. I can't wait until Sunday. Our long season will be over. What would be the approiate color to wear to the Football Banquet ?

I've never had the feeling that I did last night for NT. I couldn't cheer as usual because my teams wears Green and White. Who were those guys ? Would their coach say OK to anything they wanted to do ? Perhaps this is a display of the lack of leadership we've been talking about. It ws a disgrace and I was embarassed for them. I hope a reason is found to keep the current coach home for the final road game of the year. The end of this "us against them" era can't come quickly enough. This move has quieted down 2 groups of fans. The students behind the NT bench are now quiet so as not to disturb the team, and the folks from the visiting team are now quiet as they sit behind the visitor's bench. Now I sit behind the UTA bench !!

It's 2:00 Wednesday afternoon. I just called the Athletic Dept. to whine about the new and un-improved seating arrangement. We'll see how long it takes for me to get a call back. I'll be there tonight, but I want the Mean Green on the bench that they have sat on since 1971.

How could we find out if, in fact, the 1 mill has been paid ? My problem with naming the practice field for DD is that it looks like we're caving in to financial blackmail. How would we feel if MM threatened to withhold a gift UNLESS we fired a coach ? What would MM do if DD had left NT on his own to seek his fortune somewhere else ? I chose my seats 25 plus years ago so that I could sit behind the NT bench. I liked to be right there with the team and listen, if possible, during the timeouts. Last night, I went to my first game this year and the Home team has moved down to the visitors bench. What's that about ? Anyone have any information ? Good cheerleader turnout last night. I didn't see Scrappy. The Dancers were perfect as usual. The attendance was or wasn't there. I don't know the numbers but it was as bad as it could be.

Again, I don't think we can do it, but I want a HEAD COACH. We've tried and failed with bargins in the past. There will be plenty of head coaches needing a job. I don't believe it will happen, but I would like a head coach that already IS a head coach. We have always picked up a "bargain" by hiring a Off. Coor. and betting he will grow into the job. That has never worked for NT. The only time we hired a head coach as head coach, was Hayden Fry. The results speak for themselves. Texas ties would be a plus, but I'd rather have a name brand coach, than someone that knows someone, that knows someone. Again, I don't think it will happen, but if we want to get different reaults, we need to try a different hiring approach. Every year, I hear that we are a "young team." How can we be a young team each year ? Do we run off anyone that finishes their sophmore year ? Cop out ? I think yes.
