  3. Leave the 3 point line where it is and eliminate the "slam dunk."
  4. I voted 4 times in less time than you can say, "And that's good for another Mean Green First Down !"
  5. It should and will be decided on the field. But Johnny's friends on GOMEANGREEN.COM can come together and boost the Mighty Quinn's vote totals just the way we have supported dancers and cheerleaders in the past. Vote early and vote often. 6. Has Deon ever applied for a coaching job at the college level ? Or at the high school level for that matter ?
  7. Want to have some fun ? Go to your local supermarket or big box retailer. Find the area where the Texas, Texas A & M, OU, or Nebraska items are displayed. Then ask for store assistance. When the clerk asks you how they can help you, ask where the North Texas stuff is kept. Sometimes, they'll look all over the store because, "I know we stock fans items from area schools." Then ask, politely, if they could get some NT stuff in stock, and that you'll be back to buy it. Then buy it. Join the Mean Green Club Buy Season Tickets GO MEAN GREEN
  8. Then we should win it every year. Let's start by beating Florida Atlantic just once. Join the Mean Green Club Buy Season Tickets GO MEAN GREEN

  13. I've been hearing so much about Mark Cuban for some time. His reality TV show, his epic battles with the NBA, and of course his considerable wealth. Just for fun, would North Texas accept a gift from Cuban for the construction of a new on campus stadium with the provision it be named "Dallas Maverick Stadium" or something similar ? Other businesses put their name on stadiums all the time. What would we do if instead of Movietime, or Ameriquest, we got the Mavericks ? Join the Mean Green Club Buy Season Tickets GO MEAN GREEN
  14. It's a 2 hour drive to drive THRU Norman. On game day, I'd allow at least another 2 hours to get into your seat. Parking is tough. Many of the frats offer parking on their lawns and then you can walk to Memorial Stadium. Thank you Bosie State. Join the Mean Green Club Buy Season Tickets GO M<EAN GREEN

  16. Coach Dodge said Wed. that due to the "no-huddle" offense, we should snap the ball with about 20 seconds left on the 25 second clock.
  17. Todd Dodge spoke to my Kiwanis Club this morning (Wed.). He was there along with Hank and both did us proud. I'm not sure we could ask for better ambassadors for our University. As far as dancing, I aked Coack Dodge about the helmets. He answered that they were green right now. So I tried harder. I asked what the helmets wuld look like when we open against the Sooners. He said the design was still in the works. Hank added that they needed to save something for "Christmas morning." So I guess we drive to Norman and find out. He spoke about the strengths of the defense and how the offense is coming along. Spoke highly of JaMario and stated he put high emphasis on the kicking game. He asked himself how to put pressure on a kicker in practice ? He says they run drills and then call for a field goal. Players quickly set up for a FG and if the kick is good, practice is over. If not, it's not. I'm looking foward to the scrimmage at 3 on Sunday. Join the Mean Green Club Buy Season Tickets GO MEAN GREEN
  18. I like "TAAAAAAAAAALONS OUT". It explains why so many Green shirted people appear to be showing off their fingernails. And I've never heard it anywhere else. It certainly makes more sense than, "On your feet !" It also pays some respect to our Eagle Mascot rather than only Mean Green. Join the Mean Green Club Buy Season Tickets GO MEAN GREEN
  19. Shirts promoting North Texas should always be GREEN. While the graphic, logo, or cleaver saying may not be readable on televisioin or across the field, the color should say which school the wearer is supporting. Join the MeanGreen Club Buy Season Tickets GO MEAN GREEN
  20. I think it would be fun to hear the announcer before a kickoff or third down situation, "TAAAAALONS OUT !" Rather than "On your feet ".
  21. I like the idea of a "bake sale" to fund the stadium. Muffins for $100. Cakes for $500. Might not sell a lot of baked goods, but it would raise awareness of the effort to build the new stadium. Join the Mean Green Club Buy Season Tickets GO MEAN GREEN
  22. Good design. Beat Navy...and everyone else, too. Join the Mean Green Club Buy Season Tickets (you'll want to see North Texas whallop the Midshipmen) GO MEAN GREEN
  23. I don't think that is appropriate. We are in a time of war. I realize this is about a football game and that a football game is trivial compared to a war, but the notion and the graphic of sinking a (U.S. I presume) Navy ship seems over the line. "Kick the goat" or "Give Navy the blues" but don't sink Navy. Sorry. Just my opinion.
  24. Sorry LongJim. Clearly my fault for not making myself clear. Like when I suggested everyone wear GREEN to the SMU game. Someone correctly wrote and asked what shade of green. No, I was really calling a "hand mascot" something more akin to the "hook 'em horns" sign our friends at Texas are fond of. Or the "eagle talon" sign that many NT fans use when hearing the North Texas alma mater. That kind of "hand mascot. Not an extended digit as in "#1." "Does Florida have such a hand symbol ?"
