I went last April. Got to meet NT alum NM Green while there. But it's a very long trip. When we arrived, all we wanted to do was rest. We went non-stop on the way over ("direct" is an airline industry term for "at least one stop") and stopped in Los Angles on the way back. The stop was a good thing for us. 8 hours watching Jim Carey movies should be reserved for al Qaida

There was a NT fan that had expressed an interest in opening a bar/restaurant in Denton and hopefully near the campus. He contacted me, but of course, I don't recall his name or how to contact him. Any help ?

Good point. I recall that we, the Mean Green Club, has had "club" activities in the past, and I guess I thought that many times when I was called or otherwise made aware of things Green, it was because of the Mean Green Club. I'm not looking at the 'Club for much of anything, except the right to purchase 50 yard line seats, and up close parking. I also want a top notch product on the field/court/diamond/pool/pit. etc. There's a lot I can't do for NT Athletics. I can give them less than $2 per day per year. There are at least 2 other "Eagles" right here in our backyard. The Argyle Eagles and the Valley View Eagles. Further south, there's the Richardson Eagles. But, in all the world, there's only one, Mean Green. If you think about it, we're really very fortunate. When someone says Mean Green, everyone should know what university they're refering to. I have a friend, also a NT alum, that had a '64 or '65 Mustang. Fooling around one day, we discovered that the center cap on the steering wheel could be popped off. Underneath the "Mustang" logo was a "Falcon" logo.

I'm intrigued by the idea of "seat bonds." What would be a realistic number and for how long ? As I recall, when Texas Stadium was build, there was a lottery held to retire certain seat bonds early. Is the lottery still going on ? Would our fans really put up the kind of money needed to make this project work ?

What a great name for a North Texas fan, Jim Eagle. Some years ago, I knew a recent NT grad named Kelly Green. I called the ticket office to get a picture of him buying season tickets. They wern't interested.

I wonder how the University of Miami would have handled the same situation in light of the on-field brawl with Florida International ? I like the notion of the team not being held to the same standard as the rest of the school, but to a higher one.

If he's such a fan, he should be going to Oklahoma State. Go Cowboys. I would hate to think I was going to one school, when I wanted to be somewhere else.

Outrage that it took so long.

Sturns always scared me on the court, but he seemed to calm down a lot this last season. I for one, hate to see him go. He certainly is dropping down several levels to play at H.F. I looked at their schedule and I didn't recognize one school after their exhibitation with Villanova.

Have a drawing during an undisclosed point in the game. Offer a student free tuitiion for the next semester based on the number of hours they are taking the previous semester, or a refund of the semester they are currently enrolled in. You must be present to win. They drawing is for the entire student body. Sometimes the drawing would be right before/after kickoff. Sometimes as late as the third or fourth quarter.
